Well, games like this make me feel better about my overlooked mates in one.
I will just assume Robson was under time pressure. His position the entire time looked shaky after Kg6, and no doubt he had to take great care not to lose earlier.
Easier to defend when you have a chess engine at your elbow.
Damn, Robson hung mate in 1 today and Carlsen hung a knight!
ZEITNOT! ZEITNOT! ZEITNOT!
Ecellent game from Robson , ya know Susan trheses kids are really getting good.
Hehehe…
The thing I didnt get, was where was black’s attack?
I thought the idea was to storm each others king position and 1 move mistake means loss?
And King g6… I think these tournaments are really hard work especially for younk kids like Ray and experience builds stamina and endurance.
I think he was tired….
Chinese player GM Li Chao and GM Robson (his mother is Chinese) fight for first place in group C! Oversea Chinese lost the game in one. What a game!
