Our friends from ChessBase just posted that there is a US $750,000 bid to stage the match in Lviv, western Ukraine. The information came from Yury Vasiliev of Sport Express. According to my understanding from the original contract, the Bulgarians have the right to match it. What will happen now? What is your prediction? The off the board chess match continues.

“According to my understand”
Both players should be very happy with this amount of money.
Everyone is talking about lack of women in chess, but what about us African Americans? Why are there so few playing and playing good chess?
If the Ukrainian bid really exists, Bulgaria does not have the right to match it (as Ukraine is considered a neutral host)…

HI Susan, yes as the anon 1:15 pointed out, Bulgaria can not match the bid it will take place in neutral ( Ukraine) country.
Some news that may not have missed your attention, but not yet on your blog. Humpy has defeated Caruana in last round with black. The Merida event is won by Micky Adams.
Two much money for these two patzers.
