Yesterday,I was at this site between 10:00 to 11:50 PM { Indian Time },but I couldn’t see this puzzle posting, the surprise was that, postings after this puzzle { saying based on its position in the site}I could see at that time.
So,as of this puzzle is concerned, it seems that my view wasn’t required – May be because its just so simple – lol.
Took me about 2 seconds to spot the mating line. Probably a record for me. Everything is literally forced:
1. …..Nb3
2. ab3
Here, 2.Qb3 loses instantly to Rc1#. Continuing:
2. …..Rc1
3. Ka2 Qb1
4. Ka3 Qa1
5. Kb4 a5
6. Qa5 Qa5#
Mate by pawn
1 …Nb3+ 2 axb3 (2 Qxb3?? Rc1#) Rc1+ 3 Ka2 Qb1+ 4 Ka3 Qa1+ 5 Kb4 a5#
1…Nb3+ 2.axb3 Rc1+ 3.Ka2 Qb1+4 Ka3 Qa1+ 5.Kb4 a5+ 6.Qxa5 Qxa5#
1…Nb3+!
2.axb3 Rc1+
3.Ka2 Qb1+
4.Ka3 Qa1+
5.Kb4 a5+
6.Qxa5 Qxa5#
Black has a forced win starting with
1. …Nb3+
2.axb3
(if2.Qxb3 Rc1#)
2. …Rc1+
3.Ka2 Qb1+
4.Ka3 Qa1+
5.Kb4 a5+
6.Qxa5 Qxa5#
Seems straightforward. Somewhat of a letdown after the recent tactical middlegame puzzles that required a lot of analysis 🙂
1… Nb3+
2. axb3 Rc1+
3. Ka2 Qb1+
4. Ka3 Qa1+
5. Kb4 a5+
6. Qxa5 Qxa5#
Too difficult for me.
1.Nb3+ PxN
2.Rc1+ Ka2
3.Qb1+ Ka3
4.Qa1+Kb4
5.Pa5+ QxQ
6.QxP+ mate
1.Nb3+ PxN
2.Rc1+ Ka2
3.Qb1+ Ka3
4.Qa1+Kb4
5.Pa5+ QxQ
6.QxP++(mate)
kb3+
1. … Nb3+ 2. axb3
(2. Qxb3 Rc1#)
2. .. Rc1+ 3. Ka2 Qb1+ 4. Ka3 Qa1+ 5.
Kb4 a5+ 6. Qxa5 Qxa5#
Lucymarie
Nb3
Cb3
Cb3
Cb3
1Nb3+ pxn 2Rc1+ ka2 3 Qb1= ka3 4Qa1
Kb4 5a5 mate or queen goes
Read black move first
1. Nb3+, axb3 (not taking the knight by Kb1 loses immediately to Rc1#, Qxb3 also loses to Rc1#)
2. Rc1+, Ka2
3. Qb1+, Ka3
4. Qa1+, Kb4
5. a5+, Qxa5
6. Qxa5#
Let’s try 1…Nb3+ for fun..
Yup. 1…Nb3+! wins the house. For instance:
2.axb3 Rcl+ 3.Ka2 Qb1+ 4.Ka3 Qa1+ 5.Kb4 a5+ 6.Qxa5 Qxa5#
2. Qxb3 is just trivial..
