Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Susan:
How does this work? Do the players pay their own way or do you provide some assistance? Where do they stay? Is that something they pay for themselves or is it free?
We provide airfares, hotel suites, and other conditions. Paul or I personally pick up each player from the airport and bring them to their hotel. We will also personally drive the players to the playing hall at Texas Tech and bring them back to their hotel after each round. The bottom line is the players are being treated the way I would want to be treated as a professional player myself.
Best wishes,
Susan Polgar
My goodness! I don’t think anyone treats professional players that way. I’ve taken the liberty of forwarding your comments to Wesley So’s mom. I think with those kinds of terms Wesley will be stampeding to Lubbock to play in the SPICE Cup.
So should really come to the SPICE Cup next year. America wants to see him flaunt his talent here.
Go Wesley!
