After winning the first two matches, the Experience team yielded a tie in the third match. But the Rising Stars’ decisive team victory by a 2 point margin in match #4 tied up the total game points.
Even with the momentum, the young guns were not able to capitalize on it. The Experience team made a big come back in the 5th match by winning it with a 2 point margin.
After 2 consecutive losses to Nakamura and Hou, veteran Beliavsky scored against Stellwagen while Svidler knocked out Nakamura. The Experience now leads 3.5 – 1.5 in match score and +2 in game score.
