Chess Champ Tanraj Sohal Wins Another BC Championship
This is the record 12th time in a row (Grade 1 to 12) Tanraj Sohal has won the Fraser Valley Regional Chess Championship and BC Provincial Chess Championship in his grade level and has represented BC Team at the Canadian Chess Challenge.
SURREY – Indo-Canadian chess champ Tanraj Sohal, a Grade 12 student from Surrey, won another BC Provincial Chess Championship in his grade level held on March 9 in Richmond, BC.
Sohal earlier won the Fraser Valley Regional Chess Championship held in Surrey on February 22. He will now, along with other provincial winners, will be representing BC Chess Team at the Canadian Chess Challenge to be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba in May.
