Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Yet another brief time control event?
These brief control events are getting more common every year.
If the rise of this cheaper form of chess tournament is reducing the number of long time control chess tournaments, then perhaps this has gone too far.
The quality of chess is lower in brief time controls.
Is anybody in a hurry to buy someone’s book entitled “My 50 Best Rapid Chess Games”? Not me.

Agree Gene Milener, agree indeed. Rapid chess is for the excitement of the moment, live.
Anyway, with this time control I expect the chances of victory to be about 50/50 between Svidler and Carlsen, actually thinking Magnus will be victorious.
Svidler!!!!!
I think Svidler will win 1,5- 0,5 after winning a sicilian game with the brilliant sacrifice Rxe7 … hihi
