The opening ceremony of the first Russian chess Museum took place on the 25th of September in Moscow. The ceremony was attended by the President of the World Chess Federation (FIDE) Mr. Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, Press-Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Russian Chess Federation Mr. Dmitry Peskov, First Deputy Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, President of the Olympic Committee of Russia, Vice-President of the Supervisory Board Mr. Alexandr Zhukov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, member of the Advisory Board of the Russian chess Federation Mr. Arkady Dvorkovich, Vice-President of FIDE, the President of the Russian Chess Federation Mr. Andrey Filatov.
