GM Ftacnik of Slovakia is touring South Carolina this week, presenting a series of simultaneous exhibitions in the Palmetto State. On Monday, June 23, he played a simultaneous exhibition in Florence, SC, winning all eight games. On Tuesday, he played twenty-two challengers at a local Columbia mall with nineteen wins, one loss, and two draws.
He will continue his tour with a simul in Charleston on Wednesday, and a simul in Greenwood on Thursday. This tour is to promote the S.C. Open in Greenville this weekend. GM Roman Dzindichashvili is also expect to play in the S.C. Open after a two-day chess class in Greenville, S.C.
