Why cannot the USA have tournaments like this for championships instead of stupid little Swiss in the middle of nowhere state of oklahoma.
Because Bill Goichberg makes bad decisions with USCF money like lawyers and paying for website over and over again.
Bill Goichberg needs to go away.
russian championship isn’t always staged in Moscow. btw the “superfinal” is a new tradition (or “old” if you count ussr). Just a few years ago all we had was a similar swiss. the swiss tourney is still there, now it serves as a qualifier for the final round robin.
i predicted Morozevishs’ win, no surprise here. glad to see the success of Tairova. her play changed so much within a few since belov started to train her. she is much more promising in womens chess than Lagno, Harika and even H.Yifan. hope she will be competitive agains men, too
Татьяна Косинцева. Wins womens on tie-break.
