For me the plan is : pushing the g pawn and moving the white king to helps the promotion.
So for example g5 and after the white king try to come in d5, after white plays g6, king comes to e6 … and the pawn g is promote (endgame K + R > K + somes blacks pawns after black rook need to take on g8Q).
If the black rook try to get b3 and/or a4 pawn, the promotion is move easy for the g pawn.
Susan ? i want a clear solution lol or your little comment.
It is not about getting an answer. It is about you playing and working on the problem and gaining confidence in yourself. That is what happens when you are playing a game.
I think the best approach is to push the pawn and support with the king. in this manner
Kc5 looks good, possible mating threat via Kb6 and attacking queen-side pawns.
from Leko-Topalov, right? only you reversed the colors to “confuse” us… 🙂
I’ve tried a few lines with no luck. Is it possible? If so I’ll keep at it.

As usual, Susan don’t care to give the solution.
