A friend of mine who is an avid chess collector and historian just recently discovered something very interesting. Babe Ruth, generally regarded as one of the greatest baseball players ever, was a strong chess player as well. He in fact played and defeated Capablanca at least once. I do not have that game but perhaps someone would know how I can find it. Above is an old newspaper clipping about that loss by Capablanca.
