After the match of the Legends having opposed on May 2006 Anatoly Karpov to Boris Spassky, the Corsican chess League again, organizes a great international match, but, this time , the match of the Hopes.
The “Match of the Hopes” will oppose, on May Friday 18th, in Porto-Vecchio (south of Corsica) the two best young world ‘s players :
Teimour Radjabov (Azerbaïdjan) and Magnus Carlsen (Norway).
The rate of play is 10 mins + 3 secs increment per move. (If the scores are level, tie-break blitz games shall be played).
300 pupils of the area will attend the event.

Yes Radj has really moved up recently. He is definitely one of the best today. Magnus is moving up into that group but it not quite fully established at the top. He needs to get his rating up a bit higher which he is very successfully doing. But so long as his rating is at 2690 he is not quite there yet.
