LEOMINSTER CHESS PLAYERS QUALIFY FOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP AT FSU

Three of Leominster’s top nationally rated chess players have qualified for the championship of the Wachusett Chess Club at Fitchburg State University. Sharing top honors in qualifying for this year’s U.S. Chess Federation-rated event are Larry Gladding, Kenneth Gurge and Leonard Arsenault.
They will join seven other USCF-rated players from Fitchburg, Lunenburg, Ashburnham, Clinton, Otter River and Worcester in contesting a round robin that will be held Wednesday nights in May and June at the McKay Campus School at FSU.
