Tommy and I gave a tandem simul to over 40 children at the Ramirez Charter School in Lubbock Texas. Countless local media came out for this event. More than 100 children and many more adults were there to support this event! This was Tommy’s first ever simul. We won all our games.

We won all our games.
How was the “we”? You made a move, Tommy made a move?
Gabor
When you got to Corpus you never seem to stop in Houston. Can you please post information on your next trip to Houston?
So, Tommy had to save the game a few times, eh? 🙂
Too Much Susan.
Look out here comes Tommy.
In just a few years I will be reading how Mommy lost to Tommy. LOL.
Dear Susan,
May I know the strategy you and Tom my applied for tandem chess simul.
From the picture posted, it appears that you and Tommy played alternate moves.
Wouldnt this be difficult to follow a game plan since what you intend to move next could be quite different from what Tommy played and vice versa.

MP
MP, there was no strategy. It was for fun. We never talked about it and this was his first ever simul. I did not want to put any pressure on him. All I told him was to have fun!
Thomas, I post all my events. If there will be something in Houston, I will let you know.
Gabor, I made the 1st move, he made the 2nd and I made the 3rd, etc.
Best wishes,
Susan Polgar

Yes it was a tandem simul. Susan started, and her oppent waited for Tommy. Then made a move so like this: Susan-child-Tommy-child-Susan-child-Tommy.
I suspect Tommy could have beaten all of these kids on his own – they were mostly beginners and novices.
