Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Nakamura is way better than Karjakin.
Karjakin hold the record for the world’s youngest GM; does not need Gary to usher him into the 2800 club. He will make it on his own.
Five top level draws today , six, if you count the women’s championship.
Professional Chess is right up there with modern poetry and performance art on the boring list.
“…Nakamura is way better…”
Looks like “Troll-amura” is online today….
I din’t see any boring draws…I guess they’re boring if you don’t play them…besides Mr Anand…who’s just keeping in shape..I think all the games had some fire in them.
Was a fun day to look at.
Its rather telling to see who is in last place…at this moment..probably a decent tell and telling of the competence of
Fides qualification cycle. With all due respect of course. What…is it just me?
Hey Mike – ‘It’s rather telling who is in last place….’ Stop being so caustic. We all know Gelfand has been a great player,he came thru two tough tournaments to become the challenger and now perhaps doesn’t want to show too much before the real match of his life. As for the World champ he has proved his mettle thus far ( World championship matches ) and by having a plus score over Carlsen in 2010 ( classical) he certainly is the MOST DESERVED World Champion. Nuf said.
