Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
What’s going on with Alexander? Or simply a bad starting, leading to low morale, leading to loss of focus?
Difficult game to undestand, seems more like a wild cat fight, would highly appreciate your annotation, Susan.
Moro had a period in the early 2000s when he was a top-5 player, and then he slipped to N25 or N30 in the world. Now after another brief period in the top 5 it’s time for another down. He’s just a highly erratic player…
I do not know theory that well but black’s 14th move (a5) in combination with the subsequent Bb4 just seem to waste time. The following moves are more or less forced and around move 20 or so white’s position looks just so overwhelming (at least to me) that Moro tries to get to white’s king at all cost, which Movsesian cooly thwarted. Any other suggestions of where black might have gone wrong?

Moro is a form player, like Chucky. Difference is that he usually can’t win against anyone in the 2700-club anywhere near the amount Chucky can. The only reason he got to No. 2 a few months ago was that he had a good run in a lot of second-tier tourneys like Sarajevo.
Moro always keepin it interesting! haha like naka funny guys Wow! did anyone go over the 2005 world championship tournament that topy won? Well i went throught the games the other day and if morozevich gets back to that form i believe he can win this thing ,now that i look at it he actually played better chess than topy during that event as well but topy got a result oh well! HMM!?
closer look to electronic equipement and Morozevich is 1.5 out of 6.
The conclusion is evident.
Many grandmasters suspected his high ELO recently.
