Sjugirov beating Carlsen is a big upset (maybe not massive), the massive may refer to the 25 moves.
Movsesian beating Topalov is an upset (definitely not massive).
Sutovsky beating Kamsky it not an upset, there are only 40 points between them and Sutovsky has white.
Magnus will b e 2700 by weekend.
I never knew that Magnus Carlsen was actually a patzer. Go figure. Well, he’d still beat Jack A. Laffertee, but then again my dog could do that.
Magnus is human…..he’s been at this Modeling…glitz events…and it’s obvious he’s not playing well. He needs to decide wither he wants to be a male version of Kosteniuk or wether he wants to put in the energy back into his chess….because none of these games were terribly inspired…the last being the saddest. He’s young…perhaps he’ll smarten up and get back to work.
Look at the performance of both Carlsen and Kosteniuk in this Olympiad. Either focus in chess or suffer the consequences on the chess board.
Anand will be grinning wide as Carlsen and Topalov keeps tumbling down.
I suggest Anand need not to move a single piece to achieve his aim of becoming No.1 – Carlsen and Topalov will take care.
All honour to the winners, of course, but none of these was any sort of a good game. What’s with Carlsen and Topalov? They’ve been playing like people with food poisoning.
