This is a very strange collection of players, and most of them aren’t even considered true contenders. If it was up to me, I’d have Carlsen, Ivanchuk, Nakamura, Aronian, Karjakin, Radjabov, Kramnik and Topalov, instead.
To all those grumpy Anonymous idiots: (1) Carlsen chickened out and WITHDREW. (2) Nakamura said he is starting to prepare for the NEXT world championship cycle. (3) I dunno about Ivanchuk.
Anything else to complain about? Now shut up and enjoy the games.
And I have to agree with the last anonymous- all those other players had their chances to play in this. Sure, I don’t much like the format for getting to this stage, but, in some cases, not choosing to participate buys no sympathy from me, nor should it detract from the eventual winner. We do have, in my opinion, 3 of the top 5 players in the world playing this month (minus Carlsen and, of course, the World Champion, Anand). This is good enough for me. I am excited to be able to watch.
Anand vs Aronian – what a championship match it could be!
Kramnik couldn’t take down Vishy and neither could Topalov. Aronian is the only modern player with a winning record against Anand. One thing is certain – he will prepare really well if he is up against Aronian.
Aronian all the way.
Topalov, Kramnik, Gelfand, Grischuk.

You are right.
Mickey mouse selection/qualification procedures and a mickey mouse format produce a mickey mouse line-up.
More than half this field (Gelfand, Kamsky, Mamedyarov, Radjabov, Grischuk) are not serious contenders.
This is not a real World Championship Candidates. It’s rubbish.
Topalov will win this one!

In the end, I think Aronian will claim victory.
