The easiest way for Carlsen to reach 2900 is to set up a match with Naka. That’s like picking up rating points off the floor. He should be at 2900 in just 5 games. He may even reach 3000 if the match is long enough.
Frederic Freidel says” Magnus is so strong that he is simply bored – so he plays like an idiot, moves to the bottom and then usually wins the tournament anyway” If true then Magnus is absolutely unbeatable, especially in matchplay.Anand played great chess to set up a rematch, and his chances against Magnus are no worse than the rest of the field. It seems that nobody can defeat Magnus, unless he gets bored! And he certainly won’t get bored in a World Championships, unless he gets a runaway lead! Does he have a chip implanted somewhere?
Not sure why Caruana is shown No 5? In what order is this list?
Nakamura is second so whats the fuss. You have problem with that. Go tell your mama and cry on her lap. Grow up kid.
Nakamura is better than Caruana and this list go by the level of expertise. Thats why. Understood.
Susan, who is this nakamura fan who is abusive to other posters. Cant you block this dude, when he personalizes and offends others
?
This is cheating for Naka. He should have won this. Favouritism for MC.

Nakamura would be embarrassed by the idiot who “represents” him here.
Congratulations to Carlsen. He:
1. Played aggressively in Round 10 for the win (as did Caruana)and won.
2. Had the most wins in the tournament by far: 5
3. Crushed Nakamura; especially in the second game when Naka had him dead and then choked.
Keep your eye on Caruana. He’s very, very good.
How about Karjakin. The Candidates is much tougher than this and finished second in that tournament.

“How about Karjakin?”
What about Karjakin? Over the last several tournaments he’s proven one thing: He can draw against anyone.
Unfortunately for Karjakin, you have to occasionally win to reach the top.
Not saying he’s terrible, he’s up there with the best but he seems to have lost his edge.
