I dont understand why Topalov do not play hard in the mid of accusation that he is cheating. His unability to prove better only show their accuser are right.
Maybe he is cheating anyway. 🙂 No more signal from Dainalov.
Vishy Anand – Peter Leko 1-0 Alex. Morozevich – Veselin Topalov 1/2 Levon Aronian – Vassily Ivanchuk 1/2 Magnus Carlsen – Peter Svidler 1/2
I would like to see Topa start playing well again. No one plays exciting fighting chess like him when he is on his game. Of course he deserves what he gets for accusing Kramnik of cheating. His claim that Kramnik could not possibly beat him without cheating looks very lame when he is playing such mediocre chess.
i heared it through the grapevine… 🙁 Carlsen – Peter – a short Gruenfeld draw …
Anand – Leko – an other Anti- Marshall draw
Levon – Ivanshuk – no opening prediction needed, for sure 0-1 (Levon’s nightmare is an evil puppet named “Chucky” hunting him – and remember, it’s friday and it is round 13 …)
(of course i’m joking – sometimes i’ve the feeling that it is better to mention this fact, especially on chess blog sites…)
1) When Danailov can view Topalov easily and no one pays attenton. Then Topalov plays perfect killer moves after entering a super complex position. Perfect moves that display his super human chess play.
2) When Danailov can not signal Topalov then Topalov plays below 2700. not inspired. lots of mistakes. gets confused in easy positions. Avoids complex positions. Bearly hanging in there.
Topalov terribly broke the Fide Ethics Rules and is lucky he has not been banned from chess. I say Let him lose 2 more games this tournament and get some humility.
Carlsen is the greatest. Even greater than Gary Kasparov at the same ages. Only Anand is better right now.
I say let Magnus win 2 more games and the tournament. He is much better than his reputation. We need to get the word out. There are some anonymous people who do not realize how great he is.
Only Bulgarians are allowed to cheer for Topalov as they watch their hero slide down and out.
Nice monthly article on chesscafe.com However, I am surprised you did such an extensive write up on a Topalov win. You already have so many people claiming you are not neutral on Topalov.
You wrote it after round 9. here is the report after round 9.
It was his only win with 2 losses and it was againt the bottom dweller. Not exactly a key game. He already had 2 loses and finally came up with a win in 9 games. It gives supporting evidence to those who claim you support Topalov.
Anand – Leko, Ruy Lopez anti-Marshall Moro – Topalov, Catalan but with 1.g3 just for show-off Aronian-Ivanchuk, French Defence Carlsen – Svidler – Sicilian Najdorf
Is he???? a 16 year old, who has same playing strenght as the best in the world? Can he be overhyped??
I agree that Radjabov and Karjakin, are as great as Crlsen, but that doesent mean that they are overhyped. They are the futures of chess, and the futures look great!!!! GO GO GO Mags!
Is he???? a 16 year old, who has same playing strenght as the best in the world? Can he be overhyped?? ~~
Topalov isn’t the best in the world, the world champion is. Bad sportsmanship is one thing, but childishness is another. He lost the friggin match, grow up and get over it.
As for Carlsen having the same playing strength as Topalov based on only one game, that’s even sillier than the other statement.
I hope Topalov will win at least 1 more game.
Vishy Anand – Peter Leko 1/2
Alex. Morozevich – Veselin Topalov 1/2
Levon Aronian – Vassily Ivanchuk 1/2
Magnus Carlsen – Peter Svidler 0-1
I really hope that Topalov will succeed to fight out at least one win till the end of the tournament. Go Topa !!!
Someone wrote ” I hope Topalov will win at least 1 more game”.
My answer is : Why???
Yeah, why? All he’s done is drown the chess world in spurious cheating allegations. Unless you’re Bulgarian, why on earth would you root for him?

Moro – Topalov – another boring catalan draw!
greetings
Levon – Ivanchuk – Decisive
Moro – Topalov – Decisive
The rest will be drawn.
HAVE THE GAMES BEGUN? WHERE ARE THE MOVES? WHERE CAN I FOLLOW IT LIVE FOR FREE?
So far the evidence points to:
1) When Danailov can view Topalov easily and no one pays attenton. Then Topalov plays perfect killer moves after entering a super complex position. Perfect moves that display his super human chess play.

Yes good idea how about prediction of openings?
Anand – Leko, Ruy Lopez anti-Marshall
Moro – Topalov, Catalan but with 1.g3 just for show-off
Aronian-Ivanchuk, French Defence
Carlsen – Svidler – Sicilian Najdorf

if topa wins he is cheating if topa loses he is cheating. there is no way to win for this gal, time to retire.
Anony-mouse,
I doubt Carlsen-Svidler will be a sicilian, because The Magnus is doing so well playing mostly d4. So I predict another slav. (and a draw)
Also I don’t think Moro will play 1. g3 because then it is too easy for Topy to make a draw. But it will be drawn anyways.

Besides, the SPCA is after you for cruelty to Straw Men.

P.S.: Cut back on the caffeine, too.
Vishy Anand – Peter Leko
Anand should try to beat a out of form Leko.
Alex. Morozevich – Veselin Topalov
This will be an exciting complex game where anything can happen.
Levon Aronian – Vassily Ivanchuk
Ivanchuk is going to go all out to win!
Magnus Carlsen – Peter Svidler
This will also be a great battle but I think Svidler will get the upper hand in the end.
