Limerick chess prodigy wins European gold

A RAHEEN teenager is the new champion of European chess.
Diana Mirza (13) won gold at the European Union Youth Chess Championships in Austria yesterday.
She is a member of the St Michael’s Chess Club and has been playing chess since she was four.
Diana, whose parents are from Romania, just finished sixth class in Limerick School Project and will begin Coláiste Chiaráin in September.
