Students at Ecole Notre-Dame in Hanmer displayed a keen interest for the game of chess. More than 40 students are members of the school’s chess club, named Les Chevaliers de Notre-Dame.
Wanting to gain valuable experience and test their skills at a higher level, a team of nine students had the opportunity to do so in the franco-Ontarian chess tournament held on the campus of Laurentian University.
Students acquired more knowledge and skills and are ready for the upcoming school year. The students are promoting their passion for chess.
