Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
My name is Lane Keister. I am a chess enthusiast, and picked up your blog on searching for chess on blogger. What do you think of Marcus Carlsen?
He’s a very talented player.
Best wishes,

It seems your pairings are listed differently from the official website. All of the winners’ bracket you gave was correct, but none of the 9-16 games:
Carlson – Lautier
Kamsky – Sakaev
Malakhov – Dreev
Vallejo Pons – Van Wely

I agree with final 4 chosen by Susan
Vallejo is underestimated among chess fans. He is very creative and extremely dangerous playing with blacks. Aronian was lucky, he was lost in the final classic game but vallejo made a mistake!
I’m unhappy because Lautier and Carlsen merit to be to qualify because they create good games in the world cup .
Susan, excellent job predicting in the top 4. For the bottom 4, you should have picked the young over the not-so-young, too! 😉 Except for Kamsky, of course.
