I am very disappointed by the Mexico coverage at this blog.
I expected to read some decent Polgar insight into the chess. Instead, there’s a swathe of similar-looking photographs which are not that interesting. Comments are also far fewer: we seem less interested in the content posted.
He looks like he is using all his self-control to keep from slapping Grishuk.
That’s the problem with this format and why the only saving grace is that the world champion instantly becomes the challenger. Tournaments mean that the bad players at the bottom decide the winners by their uneven play. Grishuk is a complete idiot for not winning today.
Dumb Drawnik guy is finished without his Deep Fritz and electronic wires in bathroom. Topalov Veselin is the real champion the world but stolen from himself by the KGB. Draw in 13 moves?! This guy have Fisher Robert flipping in the grave to have his title – hard to believe the same as in 1972 won from the great Spassky Boris. Long live the Anand!!!
I think we have the true champion now. And the winner of this tourney is the best rated player, and the might just possibly the best aktive player right now. Maybe in a match Kramnik have a chance, but as a tourney is conserned…No way. You just cant take a draw in 13. Saying that its even position is just redicolous. So it is at move 5. and one dont take a draw. They should never have given him a rematch “button” option. So our Toppy must wait until 2010! What a shame for such a player. Disgrace!
We need to create a rule, that to propose a draw, an arbiter needs to be present and he can object to the proposed draw. Or we can set a rule, that the game has to go beyond 30 moves, before a draw can be proposed. Hope the FIDE listens to this.

I don’t think I really understood what u said here, but it does seem that u talk about Fischer flipping in his grave? Man, Fischer is still alive u know, why kill the man for making a point?
He looks sad. Just lost the title for sure now.

You can’t say that however.
If Grischuk and Moro have to help Kramnik, they both can play lose to him.
And Kramnik will get 8.5 points now.

Kramnik may look sad or exhausted. At least he remains EX-World-Champion of both chess-associations.
