Koneru and Kosintseva hold their own in Lausanne

When Garry Kasparov said 2-3 years ago that IM Tatiana Kosintseva is without a doubt the most talented female player in Russia, he already knew what he was talking about. 19 year old Tatiana is now ranked among the top 3 young female and top 10 overall female players in the world.

In the mean time, Humpy Koneru has been a solid top young female player for the last few years. She became the #2 active female player in the world since January 2006.

Both of them have held their own in the Lausanne Young Masters Event against the top boys (2650 level) in the world. I hope both Humpy and Tatiana will continue to focus on their chess and take it to the next level.
