Can you believe how illeterate some unknowns in FIDE are?
‘Kosteniuk is the New World Champion’ and then they write:
‘Alexandra Kosteniuk became Woman World Chess Champion’
Playing around like that with titles and names just makes you ill.
I mean, what would Mr. Anand say when sees that ‘Kosteniuk is the New World Champion’??
None of the titles above are correct and FIDE needs to fire a lot of people in te nearest of futures.
I don’t know the solution to your difficult puzzle. I spent 45 minutes trying without success. I give up.

Which way can White’s pawns move?
There is no win for black. But
1.Re1 holds to a draw, if king comes to rescue the Knight, then
2.Rf1+, 3.Re1 when king finds the shelter on e5 by 2…Ke5.
Sombody asked about which way pawns move, obviously it should move towards 8th Rank. Please check the markings of ranks and files in the diagram.

FIDE has several world championship titles. Men’s, woman’s, and more. Winning any of these makes you a world champion.
There is nothing wrong with saying Kosteniuk is the new world champion. She is.
