Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
The Hungarian Lioness strikes again. 🙂
Shame on you Anatoly, losing to girls. he must have lost with a big blunder, otherwise impossible.
Congrats Judit!

“Shame on you Anatoly, losing to girls. he must have lost with a big blunder, otherwise impossible.”
Yeah, his biggest blunder was sitting across from Judit during a chess game. This shold be a lesson to anyone out there who questions the power of Judit and Women Chess Players!
Of course it is no disgrace to lose to Judith, but Karpov hasn’t looked to be in very good form for this tournament.
“Karpov hasn’t looked to be in very good form for this tournament.”
unlike Judit, who seems to be on fire!
Ok.. before speaking, have you actually looked at the game??
Karpov was totally won (2 pawns up) and blundered with 41.Rc1 …
Polgar, is great player and is no shame losing from her, BUT in this particular case it was just Karpov’s blunder that caused the loss…
And btw, his loss to Topalov was also caused by a huge blunder in a drawn position. So he is unlucky in this tournament, not in particularly bad for though.
Karpov’s rating is only 2670 now.
He is just another old player who cannot compete with the best anymore.
Congrats to Judit !!

So he is unlucky
“Unlucky”? Wrong.
Blunder does mean bad luck.
