Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Very interesting game.
On the 36th move Topalov should have played :
36….Rxf2+
37.Kg1 Qa6 the f2-Rook cannot be taken due to Qa2+, White seems to have slight advantage.
Pharaoh
After more thorough aanalysis, correction to the above post :
36….Rxf2+
37.Kg1 Qa6 the f2-Rook cannot be taken due to Qa2+, White seems to have clear to winning advantage.
It seems that Topalov didn’t have any satisfying response at that point although 36…Rxf2+ might be a better response than 36…Qe8.
Pharaoh.
so who the match??
Topalov won the 1st and 2nd, drew the 3rd and lost the 4th – so he won 2.5-1.5.
Go Judit!
I guessed 2.5 1.5 on the original post but I didn’t expect Topalov to pick it up with 2 wins and a draw. I was expecting 1 win and 3 draws.
Is Judit wearing glasses in the picture on Chessdom?

I read something about pregnancy effects women’s eyes. Perhaps she is needing glasses now, having had children.
But what do I know. I’m not a doctor. I just stayed at a Holiday Inn last night.
Topalov is so gentlemen … he could have won 4/0 … but yeah after 2/0 he didn’t try.
Show some respect please, you are talking about the strongest ever female player !! And 4-0 is Tall’s or Fisher’s score :]
