Top seed Humpy Koneru has taken herself out of contention by losing to Zhao Xue in round 10. The same with Tatiana Kosintseva after her loss to Marie Sebag.
Going into the final round, only two players are still in it mathematically: Hou Yifan and Antoaneta Stefanova. Hou Yifan needs a win or draw to clinch first place while Stefanova must win to win this Grand Prix.

Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Bulgarians are best.
Bulgaria poorest country in Europe? How about Romania? Such cry-babies! Strongest chess players? Have a team match between Bulgaria and China and see what happens.
Obviously, the person who wrote the above idiocy is coming from a country like China, where the access to the global net is severely restricted by the “gentle” Communist army. An elementary check up shows that the standard of living in Bulgaria is indeed the lowest in the EU. Romania has a higher standard of living, even though not much higher.
And yes – it would be great for Bulgaria and China to play against each other, but mind you – if Bulgaria wins, how will a 1.3- billion “superpower” like China swallow the fact that they have been defeated by a small 7.5-million nation like Bulgaria?

You know , China has her own game XiangQi, and another fairly popular WeiQi…So they occupy most population of those who enjoy such kind of games….Not chess!!! Most Chinese do not play chess!!!

I thnk that one Bulgarian city chess population is more than whole China’s chess population, therefore a Bulgarian team can beat a Chinese team in Chess Olympiad 2010 in Russia!
