Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Kramnik wins and everyone else draws.
Kramnik has a meltdown and becomes a checkers player.
It’s too bad Judit starts of with 2 blacks just like Kramnik starts out with 2 whites
Lots of times in these round 1 match ups the players warm up and take easy draws. Not all the games but all but one game. then they kill each other in round 2.
I will look at the entire tournament. I want to see Judit do really well. She kind of needs an excellent performance to get her back into form.
I have to pick Anand as the favorite to win with Kramnik right behind. There are just so many good players. they all deserve to win. This is terrible that some will lose.
For her first round, Judith should ask Ivanchuk: how much would ivanchuk check if ivanchuk could check wood?
ps next time you come to chi-town let us pawns know so we can get your autograph…god loves us pawns; that’s why he created so many of us
