For a long time, Humpy did not travel well; — her results in India looked like a different person’s, compared to her results outside India. Maybe this tournament signals a change in all that.
Koneru Humpy would have done even better except for the lack of support from the India Chess Federation. She has been constantly rated among the top ten men indian players. If the AICF gets her facilities for her father to travel with her and allows him to travel with indian team she can achieve what Judith has done for the chess. Let AICF give her support so that Indian Womens Chess will overtake China.
