For the first time in the history of Chess Olympiads, the Syrian women team won in their section (D group) at the World Chess Olympiad Baku 2016. They beat England and Denmark. Each player in these two teams was at least 300 points higher in rating than the Syrian players. They beat many other good teams as well. The Trainers of the Syrian team IM/FT Satea Husari and NT Bashar Mustafa are happy and proud of their trainees. The girls achieved good results by clean fight and hard preparation during the tournament.
