Chess – Grand Prix system
Inspired by Magnus Carlsen
“As fast as the bullet leaves the gun!” is a perfect definition for the Grand Prix system in Sicilian. Inspired by the 2800 club member GM Magnus Carlsen, a new series of episodes starts on Chessdom.com.
GM Henrik Danielsen is an expert in the Grand Prix system. He started exploring it after games with 1. f4 transformed into Grand Prix Sicilian, and has come to the key moves in the opening.

If Carlsen plays it then it must be good.
Everything is good and everything is bad. It depends on who plays. 🙂

I don’t care about Carlsen, they talk about Carlsen to capture our attention, it is not his main line sure. I really aprecciated the explanation about the difference between Bc4 and Bb5, that forme seemed apparently the same, and was hard to believe how it suggested that white becomes with a triple doubled c-pawns, but with a very nice compensation! I started to play this system recently and I am still sharpening it. Thumbs up!
