The 30th Schwarzacher Open 2015 took place from August 22nd to August 29th, in Schwarzach im Pongau, Land Salzburg, Austria.
45 players from 12 different countries took part in the event, including 10 GMs.
The tournament was played in 9-round Swiss FIDE format with tempo of play 90′/ 40 moves + 30′ + 30″.
Grandmasters Robert Zelcic (Croatia), Mladen Palac (Croatia) and Sergey Ivanov (Russia) tied for the first place at 6,5 points each but Zelcic clinched the title on a superior tie-break score.
Palac took the silver, while Ivanov remained third.
The best female player was WIM Patricia Llaneza Vega Patricia who scored 4,5 points.
