There were two European Champions participating in the First Saturday tournaments last month but the level was even higher in March since there were two World Champions and two European Champions playing this month.
14 years old IM Duda Jan Krzysztof (POL) U10 World Champion (2008, Vung Tau, VIE) who is also U14 European Champion (2012, Praha, CZE) convincingly won the First Saturday GM tournament leaving only two draws to his opponents topping the GM norm with a whole point extra.
It has been his second GM norm after being co-winner of Olomouc Chess Summer GM tournament (CZE) last year. He came to Budapest with his trainer, IM Leszek Ostrowski.
