At first glance, Rxc7 should win a quality. But here are clearly other attacks as well. Attack in d-file looks very interesting, actually! Qxd6 would be double attack against knight and bishop!
What about: 1. Nb3 Qe5 (Qxc4 no good since Nb3 is protected) 2. Re1 Qf6 (only move) 3. Nc5! dxc5 (what else?) 4. Qd7! Should at least win back the sacked knight, with strong attack, rook comes to e7.
Hmm… Who is right here? Is it MichaellsGreat who said “Not clear”?
Or could it be a quality sack, something like:
1. Rxc7 Rxc7 2. Ne6 Qb6 (enforced to avoid the loss of a piece, and also protect c-pawn) 3. Qxd6 Rc8 4. Nc5! Bf8 5. Qe6+ and white at least wins back the sacked quality, but also has a good attack I think…
Well, this chess has wide variations of moves – so it can be called as wide open puzzle – lol.
Coming to the point – I don’t know, how many like, the given below variation of moves for this chess puzzle but to me its very interesting line of moves.[ It has variations too ]
There may be a better line, but this one wins as well:
1. Bg4 Ne8
2. Bxf5 Rd8 or R8a8
3. Qg4+ Kf8
4. Ne6+
1-0
Bg4 wins some material and position too. Black’s best response seems to be Ra1 or Rf8.
1. … Rf8 2.Rxc7 fxg4 3.Ne6 Qf5 4.Nxf8 Bxf8 5.hxg4 Qf6
1…Ra1 2.Qxa1 fxg4 3.Rxc7 Rxc7 4.Ne6 Qa7 5.Nxc7 Qxc7 6.hxg4
Not clear!

Nxf4 since …Qxf4 is answered by Bg4 winning a rook and pawn for a N and …Qxc4 is answered by Nd6 forking the R and Q.

a) 1…cxb5 2.Nxf5 Bf8 3.Qg4+ Kf7 4.Qf3 /+-/

Hi Susan Polgar,
Well, this chess has wide variations of moves – so it can be called as wide open puzzle – lol.
Coming to the point – I don’t know, how many like, the given below variation of moves for this chess puzzle but to me its very interesting line of moves.[ It has variations too ]
Example
