The idea is to lock all white’s pawns so his King will need to move away from his pawns. At which point you move in and eat them and create pass pawns. Your pass pawns will be faster than
any white creates. If white decides to defend
with his King, you create multiple pass pawn that support each other and use your King to attack the other side of the board. You can’t defend two side of the boards at once.
