Good choice Susan!
You prefer to post easy puzzles, instead of hard one!
Approximately 90 percent of chess population is below 2000 in rating,
and they will need this level of puzzles.
In their imagination, they thought they are smart and even genius when they able to solve such puzzles.
As a result, they will pursue chess study and gettingmore and more immersed with chess,
when suddely one day they get bite by chess bugs and never be able to escape from Caissa influence anymore.
That’s good for development of chess worldwide as there’s more chess addicts worldwide.
Let those professional players with titles and rating above 2500 and beyond have their own puzzles given by Dvoretsky and Houdini or Comodo, not by this website.
There is only R sacrifice ,not Q sacrifice.More than dramatic effect we have to see beautiful theme of the sacrifice. f8 was not available to white Q, which was required for mate at g7. R sacrice displaces black K from g8 to h8 and achieves the required object.
1. Re8+ Kh7
2. Rh8+ Kxh8
3. Qf8+ Kh7
4. Qxg7#
well done,Anup!
But I have a more pedestrian idea,
1.Re8+ Kh7
2.Qc2+ f5
3.Qxf5+ g6
4.Rh8#
fajac,
There is some surprise in the puzzle that we had substantial discussion, the game betwn. Bronstein and Teschner July 2nd.

What is meant by “most accurate solution”?I think both the solutions are equally accurate.
This one is really easy… 1. Re8+ Kh7 (only move) 2. Qc2+ g6 (only move) 3. Rh8#
The queen sacrifice is not necessary in this line, except for dramatic effect. 🙂

Re8+ kh7 qc2+#
If black Q were at h3, sacrificial line would be the only solution.
