is the correct spelling if you want to look up a story on the internet. He died on tuesday.
This chess position is an obvious easy win. However, My stupid computer can not find it in the next 59 moves and calls it a draw. Stupid computers. I am so smart. I could win this because my opponent would resign when I played g4!! stomping it down on the board and walking away.
Obviously I can win this position 9 times out of 10 because my opponent will either resign or make a wrong move.
Obviously the best move 1 g4 and black has to move Kf6 or Kh6 and now white wins both. Boy and I a genius.
win I believe. 3 pawns vs k is a win if I recall correctly.
Draw but black must be carefull
1.g3! [1.g4 Kg7=] 1…Kg7 2.g4 Kh7 3.f5 Kg8 4.g5 Kh7 5.h5 Kg8!= [5…Kg7 6.g6!+-] and black King plays in the same column of next pawn move.
If black King is in g8 and 2 white pawns in f6 and h6 white wins if black moves. Black must avoid that to draw.

Go ahead find the wins after
1 g4 Kf6
1 g4 Kh6
that will keep you busy having fun.
This is an amazing endgame, I did not know. Soylent Green is actually right , saying this position to be a draw. I was mistakenly sure its a win.
However, according to my humble chess understanding, if I shift the 3 White pawns, one column to the left, it is a different verdict: A win for White.
But shifted to right with two pawns remaing of the right three, it’s draw again, amazing!
