Chess in Concert (PG)
06 September 2009
LAST year at the Royal Albert Hall, London, there were two spectacular, standing room only, performances of Chess in Concert – story and lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, formerly of Abba.
Leading the cast were top-selling US singer Josh Groban, Broadway’s Idina Menzel and Adam Pascal, Clarke Peters and Wet Wet Wet singer Marti Pellow.
The concert was filmed and is being shown in selected cinemas, including the Picturehouse at Stratford, on Tuesday and Wednesday.
CHESS IN CONCERT (PG) tells of a romantic triangle between two players in a world chess championship, and the woman who manages one and falls in love with the other.

It was a great concert. Josh Groban was excellent.
Crazy chess players and their 3 way affairs.
I loved Idina Menze! Her voice and her facial expresions were perfect.
