Uganda Chess Federation receives 200 chess sets
Friday, 12 March 2010 12:26
The Uganda Chess Federation recently received 200 chess sets that came as a donation from FIDE, the world’s chess governing body.
The donation of chess sets to Uganda was part of a programme for promotion of chess amongst the children of Africa.
The Uganda Chess Federation is highly grateful to FIDE for this noble and benevolent gesture and pledges its commitment to ensuring that the boards will be put to good use in fulfillment of FIDE’s objective.
Our plan is to use the boards in promotion of chess in schools all over the country.
