Is Shankland a GM yet?
I believe he’s a GM-Elect, so he should be officially receiving the title at the net FIDE Congress.
Will Stewart
He got his GM norms, but has not been “officially” given the title, so for all practical purposes, yes, he is a GM, but technically referred to as a “GM-elect” as mentioned in the video.
