Chepa is the next Topalov.
B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l game!
The “Little Topalov” is rising fast. With Carlsen and Shirov in the mix, this is going to be one hell of a finale.
He took part in the FIDE World Cup (2005), eliminating Alexei Fedorov and Vassily Ivanchuk before losing his third-round match with Magnus Carlsen in quick-play tie-break.
oups !!!
As a matter of fact. Cheparinov – Carlsen is in the next round. I cannot defeat the notion that Cheparinov’s play resembles Topalov style 100%. Just look at the aggressive play with black this round, the sac, the “all or nothing” attitude. Seeks sharp unclear positions…
An exciting round is ahead of us.
Martin you took my words. This game is one of the most beautiful games I have seen lately.
This Cheparinov’s game is a full handbook of chess!!!
Cheparinov is very nice young man. It is always painful to see that some people think he lives under some shadow.
His play is always his own style, and games like Cheparinov – Ivanchuck (World Cup 2005) are at the front edge of theory. In that one, he manages to make the b6 Benko fashionable again.
In my opinion, his games are some of the most instructive Q-pawn and English games for the intermediate player to study.
