Thanks, Susan, again a problem chess mating problem! Of course this one is easy (thing of less than half a minute) if you KNOW the idea – it is called a “Plachutta” (I am ashamed – I had to google because the name did not come to my mind – wouldn’t have happened in earlier times, I am getting old and forgetful ;)). If you do NOT KNOW the idea it is very hard I think.
1.e6! Obvious but cute.
1.-Qxe6 2.Nd2 and 3.Nf1++ or 3.Nc4++
1.-Bxe6 2.Nf2 and 3.Nd1++ or 3.Ng4++
1.-g4 2.Nf2, 3.Nd1++
e6 of course
ke2 not winning?
knight e2 I mean
horse on d2
Nd2 BLK moves anywhere, Nf1#
Nd2 black has defending move
Bh3 (No checkmate with Nf1 ).
If white tries Nc4+ ,queen captures

What about Nf2, followed by Nd1#
Hi Polly,
