Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
As I told you, Nakamura will win this Grand Prix. He’s better than Magnus.
Susan: I love your blog, but could we have a little more balance, please? Yesterday Nakamura crushed Caruana, and your caption was “tough day for Caruana.” Today, Nakamura goes into first place, and your caption is “Caruana scores key victory.” Carman is a superstar, but some of your readers like Nakamura too. Nakamura hit an all time high today on live chess’s rating system. Let’s give him some credit too. Thanks.
Love your blog.
Fielding, if you look a few posts later, Nakamura is a part of the headline. The story of this GP is not Nakamura. It is about only 2 individuals: Caruana and Grischuk. The prize is a spot in the Candidates tournament next year. Everyone else is out. If Caruana or Grischuk wins clear 1st, he qualifies. Even a tie for 1st is no good. I hope it helps.

Susan:
Fair enough, but the other players are still trying to win their games. Nonetheless, I do appreciate your explanation.
What anonymous and others overlook, (are they Americans), is that Nakamura may be their favourite player but that doesn’t make him the best. I saw him play in Gibraltar and I heard his winner’s speech. He is a terrific guy. Carlsen is the best by grading and by his results. He is not just a few points higher!
