To ‘Lord of the Flies’ Sir! You are right, but it is not Anand’s fault that he is being called ‘world champion’. He won it years ago in a tournament defeating his peers ( incl – Kramnik,Gelfand & Aronian ),defended it superbly against Kramnik, scraped through, but still defended successfully against Topa and Gelfand,so he full well deserves the title. We all know he is going downhill,so be patient and hope that Carlsen will do the needful next year!.
The most impressive thing about his play is that strong grandmasters ,with ELO about 2700 (like Judit Polgar), get so easily crushed. Looks so methodicaly and easy to spectators while ,in a fact,it is not…
Amazing!
He’s clearly head-and-shoulders above the rest, a class by himself. Ironically, somebody else is being called ‘world champion’.
