Finding (and posting) 1. Bxg7 is far from being enough here to solve the exercise. To “see” this move took me about 2 seconds (and from then I “felt” it had to be right) but to find the mate starting with 3. Qxh6+ took me longer (perhaps the 20 seconds, perhaps a bit more).
Jochen, you really seem to like being the wise ass. Everybody knows that 1.Bxg7+ is the only move for white.
Whether it wins after the smoke has finally settled is another matter but given that there is no other option available for white it is pretty obvious, right?
