Thanks for the heads up, GM Polgar. Am I correct in assuming that this result has no effect on Nakamura’s rating as it’s a rapid event?
Congratulations Hikaru Nakamura
Your achievement makes me happy. Good luck in the future. It is not easy to be within the leading pack.

Congrats to Naka. His last 2 events should hopefully put him on the map and he can seek new challenges via invitations vs the top 25.
Unfortunatelly, these games does not affect rating.
Only 40/120 games are accounted for that.
*Sigh* and to think I used to beat him at blitz when he was six, and just hanging out at tournaments waiting for his older brother to finish.
It’s great to see him do well at that level. I hope it will carry over to slower time controls.
I think the official score was 1 1/2 to 1/2. Kasimzanov was in a lost position and Nakamura gave him a courtesy draw.

Courtesy draw??????????? Never heard anything so stupid before.
Courtesy draw? How long will Americans show lack of chess culture? Read some books, but not ones written overnight.
