The 5th International Ferdynand Dziedzic Chess Memorial was organized by Stowarzyszenie im. Ferdynanda Dziedzica on 19th April in Trzcianka, Poland.
The tournament format was 9-round Swiss with the time control 10′+5”. The event was also valid for the Polish Rapid Chess Championship.
301 players from 11 countries competed. Among them were 27 Grandmasters and 10 International Masters.
Grandmasters Etienne Bacrot (France) and Pawel Jaracz (Poland) shared the first place with 8,0/9 points each. Bacrot took the winner’s trophy on better tie-break, while Jaracz is declared Polish Rapid Champion.
